PROEL is one of the eldest pharmaceutical companies of Greece (member of
European Union). Founded in 1947, PROEL has identified its history with the
tradition of the Hellenic pharmaceutical industry. The company was initially
established in Athens by Epaminondas Koronis, pharmacist and entrepreneur, who
envisioned the creation of a local pharmaceutical products manufacturer. During
the first decades of existence, PROEL has achieved a respected presence in the
Greek market and set the foundations for future development. Its recent growth
has placed it among the most dynamic pharmaceutical firms of the country and it
currently ranks on the 9th position of Greek owned pharmaceutical manufacturers
(IMS data).
The company's strategic view has always been focused on the development and
licensing of pharmaceutical trade names in Greece and abroad as well as their
promotion in the markets. In recent years, PROEL has also involved in
registration projects and contract manufacturing activities. The strategic mix

PROEL maintains its modernized manufacturing installations and laboratories in a
3.000 sq.m. owned building, situated in the heart of Athens, near the industrial
zone and the national highway. The company follows the EU and National
regulations and is regularly inspected by the Greek NDO and HEalth Organizations
of other countries.
